On arriving at the park, I headed straight to Kilimanjaro Safaris and took a safari trip. Twice. I saw baby animals. And they were so cute. I saw baby warthogs and baby rhinos and baby giraffes. And I saw baby gorillas on the Pangani Forest Exploration Trail! And did I mention how cute all the baby animals were?
I managed to visit Africa and Asia – yay, tigers! Isn’t it amazing how far I can travel in just one day? That must be why my feet hurt. I even mananged to visit the late Cretaceous Period and nearly got hit by a meteor, hang on, maybe that was actually a ride.
To my delight, when I went to see the Festival of the Lion King show, I got seated in the giraffe section – I must give off secret signals. I’m sure that it won’t come as a surprise to anyone who knows me that I needed no help with my giraffe impression for the show.
One of my favorite moments of the whole day though was when I heard an American kid ask a question that no British child would ask any more – what’s a meerkat?
Such a great day!
Glad you had a fabulous safari … I just love meerkats!!
